Adding your disclosure materials
Though support for multi-modal disclosures is coming soon, Patentext current supports direct textual input via the “Paste Text” tab and text extraction from documents including .pdf, .rtf, and .doc/.docx. For best results, we suggest copying unstructured text from various sources into the “Paste Text” field to provide input to our invention abstraction process to be sure all relevant information is provided to our model.
We have tested Patentext on many types of disclosures including documentation from the inventor, invention disclosure forms, outlines of patent applications, claim documents, scientific papers, summaries, unstructured descriptions, and more. We’ve designed our abstraction process to expand disclosures while maintaining as much information from the original disclosure as possible within the Invention Graph. For this reason, we suggest providing Patentext with the materials that you typically use to get started with the drafting process, such as a few paragraph summary of the problems solved by the invention, an independent claim or outline describing the structure of the invention, and a bulleted list of important variants and embodiments. However, we’ve designed the abstraction process to be as flexible as possible, so feel free to try other types of input to discover what produces the best results for you.

When you’ve entered all relevant disclosure materials, click the “Submit” button in the bottom left corner to continue. Note the application document will not be created in our file system until the “Submit” button is pressed.
