The Invention Graph gives you a structured starting point, but editing individual nodes helps ensure the resulting draft aligns with your specific goals. Every node in the graph has editable details (name, attributes, relevance, connections), accessible from the Node Panel on the right side of the screen.
This page walks through the core tabs and actions available in the Node Panel, based on the node type you’ve selected.
When you select a node from the Graph Editor or Outline Panel, the Node Panel appears to the right of the screen. It includes:
Node attributes are prefilled when available (especially for nodes created automatically from disclosure materials), so you don’t have to start from scratch.
Most fields can be edited directly or generated with AI using the Generate button in the upper-right corner of each section.

💡 Pro tip: Update the Overview after structural edits to the graph (like reparenting or adding new nodes) to keep the context accurate.
